Watseka Rehabilitation & Health Care Center

Watseka Rehab & HCC recently had a visit from area clowns that were in the area, the circus came to town. The Staff and Resident’s enjoyed a visit from the clowns and later that evening the Resident’s went to the circus.

Watseka Rehab & HCC  staff attended the 2011 Alzheimer’s memory Walk in Champaign. They raised $600 for this great event and received yellow flowers in honor of being caretakers for those who suffer from Alzheimer’s/Dementia. WRHCC staff wrote on the flowers in honor of their Resident’s that suffer from this illness and they are planted in the memory care garden.

On Wed. Sept 21st the Staff and Resident’s celebrated Rehab awareness week with a day filled of games and prizes for all of those in the Pathways Rehab program and for those who completed the program. The staff also wore jeans and the color purple in honor of World Alzheimer’s Day.

Arcola Health Care Housekeeping & Laundry Staff

 

Arcola Health Care recognizes staff

In honor of National Environmental Services week held September 11th – 17th, Arcola Health Care Center recognized all housekeeping and laundry staff on September 15th.  Each staff were presented with a rose and card of appreciation followed by cake and drinks.  Pictured left to right are: Laura Zapata, Elia Hernandez, Tammy McCracken, Raquel Gomez, Priscilla Herrera, Maria Garza and Deya Mendoza.  Not pictured are Sarah Rutledge and Rosie Guajardo.

 

 

St. Jude Fundraiser

 

Arcola Health Care Center and Monical’s Pizza combine effort for St. Jude 

On September 23rd, Arcola Health Care Center and Monical’s Pizza of Arcola teamed up to sponsor the St. Jude Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser held at the Arcola Center from 4 to 7 p.m.  The meal included Monical’s spaghetti and sauce, salad, bread sticks, dessert and drinks.  The event was well received with a total of $500 for the evening.  In the accompanying photo is AHCC staff getting ready for the event.   In the second picture is Monical’s manager, Doug Cisna and Sheila Hopkins Gillispie of AHCC accepting additional donations for St. Jude.

Dr. Thiara

 Pleasant View Rehabilitation & Health Care

Pleasant View Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is proud to introduce Dr. Surgit Thiara as the homes new Medical Director.  Dr. Thiara has been a family practitioner for the last twenty-five years.  He enjoys working with the elderly and has over seventeen years of experience as a Medical Director.  Dr. Thiara is the Chief of Medical Staff at Rochelle Hospital and has served as a member of board of trustees.  He is also Medical Director at two other Petersen Health Care homes.  Dr. Thiara is currently accepting patients.  The staff and residents at Pleasant View welcome Dr. Thiara!

Courtyard Estates of Piper City
