Ladies Luncheon at Piper City Rehab & Health Care Center

Ladies Luncheon at Piper City Rehab & Health Care Center

On August 23rd, 2012 Piper City Rehab and Courtyard Estates hosted our Annual Ladies Luncheon.  We have done this every year and each year it has grown, with 52 ladies in attendance for 2012.  Staff made 23 different side dishes for all to share along with pies made by Joan Smith.  Our theme this year was Back in the Day of Piper City, entertainment was provided by Jo Somers and Pam Bork with an amazing video of Piper City’s Bicentennial from our towns History museum.  Joni Graham, Activity Director, had pictures on every table of what Piper City looked like back when it started. It was a memorable event.  Some of the community members were able to pick out their mothers, fathers, and some grandparents.

Hope to see more of you next year!

Lakewood Village

Lakewood Village Family Fall Festival

Lakewood Village Family Fall Festival

The weather was perfect for Lakewood Village’s Family Fall Festival on Saturday Sept. 15th. We enjoyed the festivities on our new patio in our back yard. Many of the residents and their families enjoyed grilled hamburgers and hot dogs and all the fix-in’s that go with a great cookout! We enjoyed wonderful music played by CJ, many played the bags game, we roasted marshmallows, and then went for a hayride!! Jim Coleman, one of our tenants who is 100, said he couldn’t remember the last time he had went for a hayride. Thank you to my wonderful staff who helped in many ways to make this yet another wonderful event.
