Charleston Rehabilitation and Health Care Center kicked off the holiday season with a food drive partnering with Soup Stop in Charleston and Catholic Charities of Mattoon. The drive began in October and continues until we reach our goal of 1 ton of food! Staff participated in the drive donating over 530 lbs. of food thus far. Many community members dropped off food and non-perishable items as well. Soup Stop provides a hot meal each day of the week and also prepares a sack lunch to take home. Catholic Charities provides food and non-perishable items to families of all sizes as well as many other programs. Donations of food and non-perishable items are accepted at the facility daily

Christmas, what a wonderful time of year! Family and friends gathered at Charleston Rehabilitation and Health Care Center on December 16th to help their loved ones celebrate Christmas. The evening was filled with many activities including a delicious meal of soups, sandwiches and desert, entertainment from Ron and Jan Easter and presents! To top the evening off, Santa and Mrs. Clause stopped by to help deliver the presents to each of our residents and to take pictures. Residents were all smiles as they received their gifts and many thanks went out to everyone for a wonderful evening.
