Don’t take it from us. Here’s what others have to say about Effingham Rehabilitation and Health Care:
A Poem by Fred Ernst
a patient that took part in our Pathway’s to Home Program- he wrote this the day he was going home.
“Some open thoughts to the entire staff
who worked so hard on my behalf.
When I arrived, I could not walk, nor could I stand,
It’s safe to say I was a broken man.
Your staff of nurses, cna’s and such
Got me healthy with a gentle touch.
Physical Therapy in numbers few,
If given a chance will make a new you.
For all you are and all you’ve done,
In my heart and mind you are number one.
I’ve rambled on and I should go,
But there is one more thing that you should know.
This is not Good-bye, only adieu,
Because every day I’ll be thinking of you.”
“The family of Mary Ann Probst wishes to express our sincere thanks to everyone who helped in our time of need. To the staff at Effingham Rehabilitation, thank you for the five years of quality care that was shown to Mary Ann. Your level of professionalism, yet compassion shown toward Mary Ann has been greatly appreciated.” ~Bert Probst and Family
“I would recommend this facility to anyone in the need of rehab-to-home therapy. The therapy department was a good experience, and I’m glad to be going home so quickly. The facility is in a nice, quiet neighborhood with a nice, wooded view, including local wildlife.” ~Myke Jones
I highly recommend this facility to anyone needing rehab -to-home care: “Therapy is very good here. The physical therapist [Dorinda] and occupational [Cynthia] are just the best. Even though I am thrilled to be going home, I’ll miss the many friends I’ve made here, not only other patients but nursing staff [RN’s and CNA’s] too. There are far too many to list everyone by name. The facility is clean and halls are sprayed regularly to keep it smelling that way. The location is secluded. In my room I hear very little outside noises and look out the windows at the tall trees. When my pastor visited me here he said seeing my improvements just made his day, and this he shared with my friend in the church.” ~Jane Cox, Vandalia, IL
“I liked the therapy; they have done a great job! Everyone has been really nice to me. I like that I was able to return home quickly. Thanks, Jeanette Murphy”
“Had a fine stay with no problems. Everybody was really nice and the food was really good.” ~Rita Stumborg
