My name is Wanda Reid. I have 2 children and 9 grandchildren. The last Saturday in October I fell and broke my hip and my wrist. My daughter in-laws grandfather was at Mason Point. I needed Rehab, She suggested Mason Point. I came here in November. As I was Rehabbing she suggested I move to Sheltered Care. I looked it over and decided to move here. Since I have been here I have made so many friends. There is so much to do! There are day trips to Wal-Mart, and in town shopping. There is Bingo two times a week, an ice cream parlor, movie nights and a library. Moving here is the best decision I ever made

I moved to Mason Point February 1st 2014. I am in Miller 201. I have a 3 room apartment with a walk in closet off of my bedroom and a nice closet off of the front room. I love my apartment. I’m in independent living quarters. I do my own washing but can have help if I need it. I do 3 meals a day in the Stones Throw Restaurant. The dining staff is very nice. Living here Is just like having a home with lots of friends. I like to play cards and work puzzles. I broke my hip in 2015 and had to go to the Collins side of the building. I was there for 2 months and went through rehab. I was very well taken care of and within two months I was back in my independent apartment. I visit our exercise room and use the equipment 3 times a week. I also work in the Variety shop 2 hours a week. We love our outing trips. We go just about anywhere from Shopping to going out to eat to music shows where ever we would like. Leeanna our Activity Director keeps us on the go. I truly love it here with all of my friends

Before we moved to Mason Point we would come out and visit friends who lived here. We liked it and when my husband needed a special diet we moved in April 2015. He passed away in November 2015. Now I’m alone in a very nice comfortable apartment. I am not afraid and I feel very safe and secure. The staff here are very friendly and helpful. I walk the halls for exercise. My 3 year old great granddaughter loves to visit me. We have activities and go out on outing. There is always someone here to talk with. If you are looking for someone where that is friendly and meets your needs, come on out. We are one big family.

I would recommend Mason Point to anyone. I had a knee replacement and was hesitant about coming to a ‘nursing home’. I will say that Mason Point’s therapy department was top notch!
We sure appreciate all the care and kindness that was given to our mother while she was a resident at Mason Point. Thanks so much for all you do!
I was upset in the beginning when my sisters told me that our Mom was going to go to a ‘Nursing Home’. I had always believed that ‘Nursing Homes’ were somewhere that a person goes to die. I can not tell you how wrong I was. My Mother is blossoming here at Mason Point. The care is excellent. The facility and grounds are beautiful. I could go on and on about how clean it is. This was the best choice for my Mother!
It is amazing here, it’s nothing like a nursing home, it’s a spa!

Thank you so much for the care you gave grandma through the years. Your staff will always hold a special place in our hearts. There is no other Retirement home that can compare to Mason Point. You all are so awesome!
