Supervisor: Vice President of Operations / Regional Director – AL Division of PHC

The Community Manager will be responsible for all daily activities for the community.

The position requires a dedicated, detail oriented individual to manage the day to day functions of Riverview Estates, an Independent Living Community on the Illinois River in Havana, IL. This supervisory level role requires the ability to supervise a small staff of caregivers while completing office duties and participating in the daily functions of the facility. Position is responsible for attracting new residents and completing the admission process and working directly with the staff and the families of the residents in ensuring good quality care.

These duties may include but not limited to:

  • Work closely with Regional Team and other PHC Assisted Living facilities
  • Maintain compliance on all company, local and IDPH rules and regulations
  • Maintain clean and tidy facility
  • Maintain great relations with all community partners and referral sources
  • Work cooperatively with VP of Operations and /or Regional Director
  • Oversee staff at Riverview Estates
  • Participate in community events / Activities
  • Communicate with and maintain good relations with all family members
  • Develop Census and maintain great tenant care

Duties may include but not limited to:

  • Responsible for coordination and supervision of all tenant care
  • Obtain accurate medication orders from physicians
  • Coordinate and supervise all medication oversight
  • Oversight and coordination of obtaining medication from pharmacy
  • Oversight and supervision of staff for nutritional planning and meal preparation
  • Ordering and coordination of ordering or obtaining food supplies
  • Weekly grocery shopping for food and supplies
  • Oversight of sanitation for community and staff education on proper food handling
  • Maintain dietary budget
  • Hire and train new and existing staff
  • Maintain staffing records
  • Maintain appropriate staffing of facility
  • Implementation of staff discipline
  • Develop and implementation of staff in-service education for each payday
  • Maintain and implement Activity calendar
  • Oversight of all tenant activity including outings
  • Report and document changes in tenant conditions and needs
  • Oversight of staff communication concerning tenants needs
  • Coordination with consulting nurse on tenant service plans
  • Maintain referral sources and marketing of community
  • Coordination of all new admissions, discharges and inquiries
  • Deposit facility funds (Accounts Receivables)
  • Maintain facility petty cash
  • Provide on-call services as needed
  • Oversight of building maintenance
  • Oversight of day-to-day cleanliness
  • Maintain daily census tracking
  • Ordering office supplies as needed
  • Communicate with PHC Corporate staff as needed

Salary is commensurate with experience with a starting wage of $15 per hour. Bonus incentives are available. Benefits include participation in the company Health Alliance health insurance plan, dental and vision and a 401k program.

Previous experience in caring for others preferred. Sales or marketing experience a must and successful applicant must be well organized.
