Petersen Health Care is seeking a full-time Accounts Receivable (AR) Assistant for long term care office duties. This position is located at our central billing office in Peoria, IL.
This position is responsible for providing general office assistance; organizes, scans and files documents, helps with mass mailings, responds to emails and verifies payer sources.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring email account throughout the day and providing responses back in a timely manner.
  • Verifying payer sources for Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Provides clerical, secretarial, billing and general office support for the Accounts Receivable staff.
  • Process outgoing mail.

Qualifications Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge and skills in using computers and related software for word processing and spread sheets.
  • Must be organized and pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast paced environment.
