Willow Rose Rehab & Health Care Travels Back In Time Willow Rose residents and staff traveled back in time on Friday by having a 50’s themed sock hop. The fun filled day included dancing, limbo, bubble gum chewing contest, hula hoop contest, homemade root beer floats and much more. As you can see in the photos the residents and staff had a great time dancing to such classics by Elvis, Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis and many more. Courtyard Estates of Peoria will be hosting an All You Can Eat Pancake and Sausage Breakfast on September 8th from 8am-11am. September 8th is nationally recognized as Grandparent’s Day. Both Neighborhood House and Courtyard Estates of Peoria are inviting the community to celebrate this holiday with them. This breakfast is a great way to say “thank you” to your grandparents for all they have done! Willow Rose Rehab & Health Care Greene Acres MX Park teamed up with Willow Rose Rehab & Healthcare and EVS sports in co-sponsoring an event to raise money for Chloe’s Promise a foundation for St. Judes Children’s Hospital. The event held at Greene Acres MX Park on July 21st was a huge success and helped to raise over $1,700 for the cause. The race was sanctioned by the American Motorcyclist Association. Approximatly 30 riders of all ages showed up for the event as well as numerous spectators and MX enthusiasts. Spectators were able to enjoy open practices, practice races and numerous jaw dropping stunts. Petersen Health Care announced that Kewanee Care Home, one of Petersen Health Care communities located in Kewanee IL, has earned the Five-Star Quality Rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), which signifies a “much above average” rating. Five stars is the highest and most respected rating a nursing home can receive, and is based on health inspections, staffing and quality measures. Toulon Rehabilitation & Health Care Center Toulon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center announces their upcoming 7th Annual Hog Roast Fundraiser. Toulon Rehab will be hosting the fundraiser from 3-7 pm on Saturday, July 13th, 2013 at the facility on the front lawn located on HWY 17 East. “Our event will help raise funds for our very own Robert Esposito Alzheimer’s Specialty Unit, as well as, the Central Illinois Chapter Alzheimer’s Association, stated Amy Belsky, Community Relations Coordinator for the facility. “It is that time of year again, and we are in active planning mode for this grand event”, stated Belsky.
