St. Patricks Day Luncheon

LaHarpe Davier Care Center held our annual Irish St. Patty’s Day dinner on March 14th at 5:00pm.   We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day to have our event.  The sun was shining and residents were smiling.  Family and friends were invited to attend our Irish dinner.  Everyone had worn their green for the occasion. We even had staff members dress head to toe in St. Patty’s attire. We invited Joyful Sounds back again to entertain us for the evening.  They are an interactive couple that got everyone involved with their songs and stories.  Staff, residents and guests were all involved in participating whenever Joyful Sounds needed them.  Our menu included corned beef, potatoes, cabbage, carrots, creamed onions and brownies with green colored frosting.  We would like to thank everyone that joined us on that evening and wish everyone to come back to all of our events.  We would also like to thank Marge Walker, she gave our blessing before we ate our delicious dinner prepared by our wonderful dietary staff.  All staff at LaHarpe Davier Health Care Center worked very hard that day to make our evening enjoyable as possible.

Painting the Halls!

On Saturday March 10, 2012, volunteers with Grace Hope Ministries, in memory of Pastor Fred Winters, First Baptist Church of Maryville, IL, participated in “Make a Difference Day” and painted the Family/TV Resident Room at Collinsville Rehab & Health Care Center. They changed the outdated blue paint to a tranquil beige, making a huge difference in the appearance of this room. Management staff along with resident families also joined the fun in painting the lower wall board of our 100 hall wing. It was a very enjoyable and productive morning. Many thanks to the volunteers from the church as well as family and staff of Collinsville Rehab & Health Care.
