Monica Crim of Family Rural Health in LaHarpe performed an impromptu concert for the residents of LaHarpe Davier Health Care Center. Monica not only helps care for the physical needs of many residents at the facility but she also spends time on their emotional well being. On the days Monica visits her patients you might find her chatting with family or laughing at the nurse’s station. We can always count on her for a smile and the quality care our residents deserve.
Elvis Presley Week

The LaHarpe Davier Health Care Center celebrated Elvis Presley week August 9-13. Residents participated in different activities throughout the week which included Elvis trivia, movies, music and even Elvis’ favorite snack. One of Elvis’ favorite snacks was a grilled peanut butter and banana sandwich, which the residents enjoyed very much. To end Elvis week Lee Moore visited the facility and sang Elvis songs and played his guitar to the residents and even some Johnny Cash. Lee taught himself how to play the guitar by listening to the lyrics. This was a delightful morning show and everyone enjoyed him so much, they started requesting songs for him to sing. Lee is the father of Christina Ellefritz. Christina works at LaHarpe Davier Health Care Center as a CNA and helps out in Activities as well. We hope that Lee can come back to visit us again sometime.
